Wrigley’s Xylitol camel will have yet another adventure with the Da Joint’s animation team. This time, the Xylitol camel will showoff his sexy female counterpart. “the Xylitol camel has practically become a cultural icon through previous spots. What we want to do in this spot is make him less a generic character, and more a character of flare and style with a wacky personality”, said DDBO’s creative director John So. The spot will be directed by Ken Ng who generated much buzz from the last Xylitol ad.

After weeks of intense compositing, McDonald’s Cool Bears finally roll out of the post-production assembly and out into the CCTV airwaves. The Cool Bears is a team of cuddly bears with a mission to deliver refreshing cool waves in this smoldering heat of Olympics summer. The Cool Bears is the brainchild of the TBWA Shanghai’s creative director, James Lee and his creative team. The challenge was to come up with four bears of distinctive personality, with each bear has its special power to summon a unique flavour of icy cool, exhilarating summer drinks. The production was full of excitement, with professional clowns and dancers fitted in furry costumes capturing the motion for the bears’ bodies. Then the CG department track their faces and head movement with the motion tracking software and generated a lifelike bear head. The two then seamlessly composited together, and the result is nothing short of an amazingly expressive character.
